1. Overview
Pukaar ("we", "us", or "our") provides an AI-powered outbound voice call platform that helps Pakistani e-commerce businesses confirm Cash on Delivery (COD) orders before dispatch. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you and your customers when you use our services at pukaar.io and any associated applications or APIs (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and Business Information
When you register for Pukaar, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, business name, business website, and billing information. We may also collect the name and phone number you designate as your AI agent's identity.
2.2 Order and Customer Data
To run confirmation campaigns, you upload or sync contact lists containing your customers' names, phone numbers, order IDs, and order amounts ("Customer Data"). This data is processed on your behalf. You are the data controller for your customers' personal information; we act as a data processor.
2.3 Call and Interaction Data
Every call made through the Service is logged. We record call metadata (duration, timestamp, direction, outcome), call transcripts, and in some cases audio recordings. This data is used to display results in your dashboard, improve call quality, and resolve disputes.
2.4 Usage and Technical Data
We automatically collect technical information including IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and interaction events within the dashboard. This data is used for security, debugging, and product analytics.
2.5 Payment Information
Billing is handled by our payment processor, LemonSqueezy. We do not store your full card details. LemonSqueezy's privacy policy governs how your payment information is handled.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and deliver the Service — dispatching confirmation calls, logging outcomes, and updating your dashboard in real time.
- Authenticate your account and prevent unauthorised access.
- Process payments and manage your subscription.
- Send transactional communications (account alerts, campaign status, billing notices).
- Improve and debug the Service, including analysing call quality and reducing AI errors.
- Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and protect the rights of Pukaar and third parties.
We do not use your data or your customers' data to train AI or machine learning models. Your data is used solely to operate the Service for you.
4. AI Voice Calls and Recordings
The core function of the Service is to make automated AI voice calls to your customers on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal right and customer consent (where required under applicable law, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA) and regulations issued by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA)) to initiate automated voice calls to the phone numbers you upload.
- You will not upload numbers obtained through deceptive or unlawful means.
- You accept sole responsibility for ensuring compliance with telemarketing, consumer protection, and communications laws applicable to your business and your customers.
Call recordings and transcripts are stored on secure servers for a default retention period of 90 days and are accessible from your dashboard. You may request early deletion of recordings by contacting us at privacy@pukaar.io.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes.
Call metadata and transcripts are retained for 90 days by default. Audio recordings are retained for 30 days. You may request shorter retention periods by contacting us.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@pukaar.io. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption for data at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice in the dashboard. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of a revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
